Grey Horse & Ram Jam Club
Two connected venues in an 1849 building, a two-minute walk from Kingston station. Up front, The Grey Horse is a whisky bar and BBQ smokehouse with what reviewers describe as 150-plus single malts — 'not seen such a large collection outside Scotland.' Out back, Ram Jam Records is a speakeasy-style room with live music every night and all day Sunday — blues, funk, soul, jazz, rock — plus Crack Comedy's sell-out stand-up every Friday (running since 2002). Won Time Out's Best Music Venue at the 2018 Love London Awards. The building dates to the Nightingale Steam Brewery era; George Nightingale was Mayor of Kingston in 1846.
Two minutes from Kingston station, the Grey Horse is really two venues in one 1849 building. Up front, it’s a whisky bar and BBQ smokehouse with a collection reviewers describe as 150-plus single malts. Out back, Ram Jam Records runs live music every night — blues, funk, soul, jazz, rock — plus Crack Comedy’s stand-up every Friday, which has been going since 2002. It won Time Out’s Best Music Venue at the 2018 Love London Awards, and the building itself dates to the Nightingale Steam Brewery era.
