Most people hear “golf centre” and picture something for adults. Sandown Park upends that assumption. The Play Cafe — a dedicated under-5s soft play space — serves as the entry point: £6.50 per child, with classes, sensory sessions, and “Fizz Fridays” where parents get a free Prosecco with entry. From there, the progression pathway is built in: Play Cafe for toddlers, the Colt course for children (30-40 yard holes, playable in about 30 minutes), the Masters Par 3 for improvers, and the Eclipse for the full nine-hole experience.
Toptracer and Galloping
The 33-bay floodlit driving range offers free Toptracer on every bay — a significant differentiator, since most ranges charge extra for ball-tracking technology. Galloping Mini Golf is the UK and Europe’s first horse-racing themed adventure golf, designed by City Golf Europe and leaning into Sandown’s racecourse identity. Little Golfers is the biggest junior golf academy in Surrey, with over 200 kids per week across ages 3 to 14.

The critical caveat: Sandown Park Golf Centre closes entirely on Sandown Park race days. Always check the racecourse calendar before planning a visit. Free parking is available via the More Lane entrance. Compared to World of Golf in New Malden, Sandown is about learning and progression — the courses are designed to grow with you. World of Golf is entertainment and spectacle. Membership at £29/month unlocks benefits including free mini golf.
