Sonny's Riverside
Rooftop bar and terrace perched above the Thames with Kingston Bridge views, frozen margaritas, stone-baked pizza, and DJ sunset sessions from Friday through the weekend. The kind of place where golden hour lasts all evening.
Why we love it
Kingston's only proper rooftop bar, right on the river. The sunset views over Kingston Bridge are hard to beat, and the frozen margarita hour (Wed–Fri, 3–6pm, £7) is one of the best-value sundowner deals in Southwest London.
Sonny's sits right on the river, a short walk from Kingston town centre, with a sprawling open-air terrace that catches the last of the sun as it dips behind Kingston Bridge. It's the closest thing Kingston has to a Mediterranean rooftop — think sunset drinks with a soundtrack, not a quiet pint. ## Frozen margaritas and sundowners The draw here is the setting and the vibe. Wednesday through Friday, **Sunset Margarita Hour** (3–6pm) brings frozen margaritas — Classic, Tommy's, and Spicy — at £7 each, alongside £7 spritzes and £4 Sol. Friday and Saturday evenings shift gear with **DJ Sunset Sessions** from 7pm, playing house and electronic sets as the terrace fills up. The food is stone-baked pizza — [Time & Leisure praised](https://timeandleisure.co.uk/food/sonnys-riverside/) the "perfectly thin bases with pillowy crusts and proper charring" — priced at £12–£16. There are grazing boards and sharing plates alongside. Not a full dinner destination, but that's not what you're here for. ## Bottomless brunch Saturday and Sunday, 12–3pm, from £27.50 — ninety minutes of free-flowing prosecco paired with pizza. Book ahead; it fills up. ## Good to know - **Hours:** Closed Mon–Tue.
