Why we love it
The most dedicated darts setup in the area — two boards, weekly sessions, and a snooker room at £1 per 30 minutes.
The Surbiton Royal British Legion is a social club opposite Fishponds Park that most people walk past without a second look. That's a shame, because it has the best darts setup in the area — two dartboards in the games area, regular competitions, and Fun Killer Darts every Sunday afternoon. The snooker room is open daily from noon until 11pm at just £1 per 30 minutes. There's a Jubilee Bar, a cafe serving home-cooked food by Tony and Lyn, and a large function suite with live music and tribute acts on Saturday evenings. Wednesday is bingo night, and Friday has the weekly money draw. You don't need to have served in the military to join. Membership costs 90p a week and gets you subsidised drinks and food. Worth it for the darts and snooker alone. **Local's Tip:** Sunday afternoon Fun Killer Darts is a relaxed way to play if you're not looking to join a formal league.
