Why we love it

The quintessential Surbiton pub — fantastic beer garden, CAMRA recognition, and live music on Sundays.

The Lamb is the kind of Victorian pub that makes you wonder why anyone would drink anywhere else. Tucked on a corner of Brighton Road, it's got character you can't fake — etched glass windows, a proper wooden bar, and the gentle hum of neighbours catching up over pints. The beer garden out back is the real draw in summer: big enough to actually get a table, sunny enough to warrant sunglasses, and relaxed enough that you can work through the ale selection without feeling rushed. The pub hosts pop-up food stalls from local guest chefs on weekends, and their famous Sunday sessions combine live music with good food and great atmosphere. **Local's Tip:** Sunday afternoons for live music are the sweet spot. The beer garden fills up fast when the sun appears. Try their Three Cheese Ploughman's if you love British cheese.
